2025 Rombo Medical Outreach

STEMM’s 2025 Summer outreach will be in the shadow of Mt. Kilimanjaro in a small village called Rombo. This will be a 2 day outreach and we will again be taking a number of local area college students — this year from Northwestern College and Drake University! We will also be taking along a number of Sioux City area locals to help, either on the logistical side or the medical side of our outreach. We will have a number of different stations at our outreach: General Medicine, orthopedics, optometry, audiological, and fully stocked pharmacy, ENT, feminine hygiene, and mental health. Likely more, as well—we will have a better sense for that as we get closer. As always, we will also have a spiritual station to hand out Bibles, Gospel message bracelets and cards, and have pastors pray for the people being treated and plug them in to local churches, if the patients are interested.

Our goal is to raise $20,000 to support everything we are doing this summer in Tanzania. This will include medicine, doctors per diems, and logistics to move all of these people from our campus to Rombo, feeding and housing them for the duration of the outreach. With approximately one month to go before the outreach, we are approximately $14,000 short of that goal.
