When we share our ministries, we often focus on what we do, instead of why we are doing it. The inspiration and purpose behind all our ministries are spiritual. We are seeking to follow in the footsteps of Christ by serving others and showing them the path to Jesus.
OUR SPIRITUAL MINISTRY
In Matthew 28, Jesus commands us all to go and make disciples of all nations. If we look closely at Jesus’ ministry, he most often met people’s physical needs first before he spoke into their hearts.
Whether it was feeding the 5,000, healing those with physical afflictions, or even turning water into wine, Jesus’ most immediate priority was addressing people’s worldly burdens. That subsequent relationship then allowed Christ to share the promise of eternity through a deeper relationship with Him.
In a similar manner, we find that first identifying and meeting people’s earthly needs in Christian love and compassion, allows for relationships with them and consequently an opening into their eternal soul.
Make no mistake, we desire to, and are most definitely making the world a better place for thousands of Tanzanians. But our commitment and our passion are to make God’s eternal kingdom a busier place. In other words, we exist truly as an evangelistic-minded organization.
We believe that God is alive and well, that He desires to have a deep and personal relationship with every person in creation, that He has created all of us for a divine purpose, and that He has a plan for each of us that is unique and ultimately available to accomplish for our joy and His glory.
Our very reason for existing is to develop a deep enough relationship both with mission seekers in the U.S. as well as Tanzanians to introduce them to God’s amazing and all-encompassing love. And then to support, encourage, and disciple them to “Seek first the Kingdom of God.“ This is possible only by our daily consistent modeling of Christ-like love both here and in Tanzania.
