Short/Long Term Volunteer

gazeboThank you very much for choosing to participate as a volunteer at the STEMM Children’s Village (SCV) in Tanzania, Africa. We are very delighted to welcome you. Minimum stay for volunteers is one month.  If a shorter duration is preferred, please apply for our biannual missionary trip by filling out the application available in the trip packet.

These volunteer guidelines outline the expectations of your stay and are designed to ensure that your visit to the SCV is positive and fulfilling. Please download the trip packet where you will find details regarding travel to Tanzania as well as expectations and recommendations from STEMM.

SCV is a Christ centered organization which is very important to us. We trust your involvement will grow your faith as well as strengthen your personal walk with Christ.  Since 1997, hundreds of people have experienced Tanzania and have grown in their relationship with God by participating on STEMM mission trips.

We welcome motivated individuals with a sincere desire to help those in need, especially orphaned children. By helping STEMM make their orphanage sustainable, you will be a part of a project that will affect many generations to come.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

ErickWe offer exciting short and long-term volunteer opportunities in Tanzania. The volunteer projects are typically located at our orphanage (SCV)and its surroundings, in a village called Mbuguni.

The SCV is a secure and safe environment with housing for orphans, staff and volunteers. It’s on fertile land, in which there are many agricultural projects and many animals to be cared for. As a volunteer, you will experience traditional Tanzanian life and participate in daily activities, such as gardening, harvesting, caring for animals, cleaning, cooking, washing clothes, playing and caring for children, and assisting with community projects.

If you want to participate as a volunteer, please download a copy of the Volunteer Guidelines and the Volunteer Application.  Read through the guidelines and please complete the application form and mail it to:
