Many months of prayers, discussions over blueprints, and cost analysis were brought to fruition in September of 2015 when the groundbreaking ceremony was held at the SCV for the Ministry Support Center (MSC). The MSC is the newest construction being done in TZ and will be a gathering place for the countless people who STEMM envisions will enter our gates in support of the ministry happening in TZ.
This building, though modest in design, is part of STEMM’s prayers for the future as we anticipate our growth over the coming years. Built to eventually accommodate over 30 people in a dormitory-type setting with the addition of 3 small suites, this center will be the hub of activity for long-term volunteers, interns working in agriculture, education or medical relief staff, as well as being a place of gathering for local missionaries and short-term volunteers.
Continued collaboration with local colleges and churches has led to an increase in the number of working volunteers. This, along with the opening of the 2nd home for orphaned children, has led to an immediate need for housing for anyone who visits or volunteers at the SCV.
With the anticipated arrival of additional children, the growth of the agricultural program, and the work being done in the medical and education areas we are blessed to be running out of space to accommodate our staff and many volunteers.
This work is nearing completion and we praise God for provision in providing safety for the workers and anticipate the first guests to be staying in the MSC in June.
